Most properties classified Business & Other (Class 6) receive an exemption for the first $10,000 of building value. In lieu of this, hotels, motels, and some other related properties (also Class 6), defined "Tourist Accommodation," and valued at less than $3,000,000 are entitled to exemptions of up to $150,000. Be sure to use net figures when entering Assessment Values above.

The residential gross taxes shown are before the Provincial Home Owner Grant which will reduce the amount shown if eligible. The reduction for a home owner under 65 is $570 and for a home owner over 65 the reduction is $745. This grant cannot reduce the property tax payable below $100 for someone over 65 and $350 for someone under 65.
