Learn to Swim

REGISTRATION: Registrations are accepted on a first come, first serve basis with full fee required. Phone registration requires MasterCard or Visa. The Aquatic Centre reserves the right to cancel or alter programs if minimum registration is not obtained. Registration deadline is one week prior to the first lesson.

SCREENING: If you are uncertain which swimming level to register in, Karen Scott/Pool Manager or one of the instructor/lifeguards will assist placing you in the appropriate level.

PROGRAM REFUNDS: Refunds are accepted prior to the commencement of the swim programs. All refunds are subject to a $5 administration fee.

LESSON HELPFUL HINTS: Waiting Lists: Some classes fill quickly. If the class you want is full, please ask to be put on a waiting list. You will be contacted if space becomes available or if we add extra classes. Combined/Cancelled Classes: We appreciate your understanding when we are occasionally required to cancel or combine classes, usually due to insufficient registration.

RED CROSS SWIM PRESCHOOL
*designed for ages 6 months to 5 years

The Starfish / Duck / Sea Turtle levels focus on water orientation and safety for parents and their children.
Salamander / Sunfish / Crocodile / Whale levels builds swimming skills and age specific Water Safety. The upper levels are geared to the advanced preschooler who is too young for the next program, but has developed swimming skills beyond most preschool programs.

SESSION C - August 5 – 14 (*stat holiday August 4th no class)
SESSION D - August 18 – 29

      Starfish               9:00am (with caregiver)
    Seaturtle/Duck    9:30am (with caregiver)
    Salamander       10:00am
      Sunfish               10:30am
    Crocodile            11:00am
    Whale                 11:30am

All preschool classes are a half hour long and cost $50.00 per session

RED CROSS 10 LEVEL PROGRAM
*for children ages 6 and older*

The 10 levels allow for solid progressions and manageable skill acquisition from one level to the next. A smaller number of levels will also make completion of all levels more achievable.

Level 1 – 4
Ten 30 minute lessons Monday to Friday at varied times between 9:00am and noon.
Cost: $50.00

Level 5 – 7
Ten 45 minute lessons Monday to Friday at varied times between 9:00am and noon.
Cost: $72.00

Level 8 – 10
Ten 45 minute lessons Monday to Friday at varied times between 9:00am and noon.
Cost: $72.00

Stroke Correction and Endurance

8 years and up

This is a great class for those who need some extra instruction and practice on their swimming skills through swimming, workouts and stroke drills.

If you are interested please call 837-9351 and we will offer this class if we have enough interest. Cost: $50.00
